Pakistani actor Ali Zafar sent a law notice to singer-actor Meisha Shafi, demanding an apology for allegations of sexual harassment or face a defamation case of Rs 100 crore. On Thursday, Mishra had accused Twitter that Zafar had sexually abused her more than once. Zafar denied all the claims of Meisha’s harassment and had said that her intention would be to deal with it legally.
In the legal notice, Zafar has said that to dismiss the tweets accusing Meisha and apologize otherwise He will file a defamation suit against her. Mishra’s lawyer Mohammad Ahmad Pansotta has confirmed that his client has received notice. He tweeted, ‘We have received a notice and are inspecting the material. Mishra’s statement regarding Ali Zafar is based on truth. So we dismiss the notice. ‘
